By default, clicking on these tags will filter your playlist based on the rating or energy selection you have made. If you have never added these tags to your files, the playlist will always remain empty after selecting a Rating or Energy button since nothing in your media folder at that point matches your criteria (ie. none of your files have those tags applied)

## Adding Rating & Energy Tags

To add either of these tags to your media, follow these steps after creating a playlist using media panel selections:

1. <mark style="color:red;">Enable Tag Edit mode. The selected file for editing will be shown in the playlist as pink text.</mark>
2. <mark style="color:red;">Enable loop video mode. This will ensure the tags you are applying will be for the currently playing visual and can give you time to make your edits before moving to the next file to edit.</mark>
3. <mark style="color:red;">Start playback and make changes to Rating, Energy, Settings, BPM, Total Beats and any other custom tag panels you have created in Preferences/Tags.</mark>&#x20;
4. <mark style="color:red;">Use the FFW Arrow to skip to the next video and repeat steps 1-4 until you are done adding tags to the files in your playlist.</mark>&#x20;
